11. FAQ
1. What is the relationship between the project development company - Bauhinia AI Limited and the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST)?
Bauhinia AI Limited is officially incubated by HKUST. The university holds a portion of the company's shares and provides funding and scientific research patent authorization. You can check out the public grants we received from the university on the HK government website: ITF Project Profile
2. Is Biosphere3 a pure research project or a commercial product?
Biosphere3 is both a research project and a product. The project follows an industry-university-research model, where core members are faculties and students from the university. As a result, intellectual property (IP) is theoretically held by the university and licensed to the incubated company founded by the IP inventors.
3. Does Bauhinia AI Limited plan to raise venture capital?
Yes, we are considering raising venture capital but do not yet have a clear plan. Since we fair-launched $BIOS, we need to balance the interests of token holders and investors. If we find a viable way to do so, we are open to bringing in investors.
4. How will Web3 technology be implemented into the project?
Web3 integration consists of two main parts:
(1)Crypto and blockchain-based gameplay – This will be introduced earlier since the necessary infrastructure is mature and will appear in the Alpha version.
(2)Decentralized infrastructure for building agents – This will start around 2-3 months. The first step will be deploying agents in Trusted Execution Environments (TEE) and enabling them to hold wallets.
5. What is the plan for the $BIOS token?
For a detailed explanation, please refer to our Twitter post: Twitter Post on $BIOS
At the moment, it is difficult for us to provide more specific details due to various factors, such as:
The level of intelligence of the agents
The numerical stability of the sandbox environment
The development progress of the project
Legal considerations
Investor negotiations
Given these uncertainties, we are not making detailed promises yet, but we will share more as the project evolves.
6. Will Biosphere3 become a fully developed game on platforms like Steam?
Yes, we plan to turn Biosphere3 into a game for a broader audience. If the agent performance, agent cost, and gameplay reach an industrial level, we aim to develop a mobile version and launch it on Google Play and the Apple App Store.
